SUMMARY:Grass Identification Walk with Sarah Wood
DESCRIPTION:Take a slow walk at Dovetail to explore the ecology\, life history\, and identities of the beautiful grasses of the short-grass prairie. You will have the opportunity to collect grass samples for your own take-home reference. Sarah Wood will be our guide. \nSarah grew up in New Mexico and studied biology and plant ecology at UNM and NMSU. She lived and worked throughout New Mexico with the US Forest Service and New Mexico Natural Heritage Program as a field biologist; and with New Mexico State Parks for 17 years as an informal educator. Now retired\, she enjoys doing the same things she did when working\, as well as hiking\, rafting\, exploring New Mexico\, and fixing things.
