At the request of the Chair of the Bicycle and Trails Advisory Committee, the Trail Program Manager took nine participants in the International “Making Cities Livable” Conference on a tour of bicycle facilities in Santa Fe on Oct. 2. Participants hailed from far and wide – China, Indonesia, Hungary, Quebec, and the USA – and had lots of questions about our multi-use trails, bike lanes, and in some cases lack of bike lanes

It was pretty smooth sailing from downtown and onto the River Trail, followed by some interesting transitions along the Acequia Trail on the return. Participants were invited to return to see the soon-to-come Acequia Trail underpass and bridges that will smooth out some of those transitions!
