The City Trail Volunteer Coordinator met with six volunteers at Cerro Gorod Trailhead Parking lot on the morning of Aug. 31 to head south from Upper Canyon Rd. between Junctions 29 and 30. This stretch of trail toward Picacho Peak is a City trail easement on land belonging to the Nature Conservancy. Work included de-berming, cutting nicks to re-inforce “grade reversals,” mitigation of run-off erosion, and a short re-route around a steep rocky section.
