On Sat., Aug. 22, 2026, SFCT’s Trails Program Manager led a group of 22 cyclists on a journey from Franklin MIles Park to Ragle Park to check out new bike racks installed by Reanimator and great car-free transportation routes that are made possible by traveling through city parks.  The ride also featured a variety of old and new urban trails, including the Arroyo de los Chamisos Trail, an as-yet-unnamed paved trail through the northeast part of Las Soleras, Desert Sage Trail (along I-25), and Pueblos del Sol Trails.

The following Thursday, Tim led a contingent of 16 from the New Mexico Safe Routes to School Summit down the Acequia Trail from the Railyard to Rufina St. and Keeping Together brewpub, with Santa Fe Safe Routes to School Coordinator Ryan Harris providing sweep.  The ride showcased the short stretch of Acequia Trail in Hermanos Rodriguez Park that was built by SFCT volunteers in 2024 to complete the connection between the Acequia Trail and Rufina St. – thanks to heroic efforts by Homewise to purchase a lot on Maez Rd. and transform a narrow corridor of it into a public trail into the back of Hmnos. Rodriguez Park.  (Still awaiting the wayfinding that the City has in hand!)
