From the Executive Director

In this issue of EarthLines, we are looking back at a very busy 2025 and celebrating the growth of the Santa Fe Conservation Trust (SFCT) in ways that are very appropriate to the times we live in now. SFCT has worked for more than three decades at the intersection of land, people and place in northern New Mexico. We occupy a unique role in our region: one that recognizes that the future of conservation is inseparable from equitable access to nature, building climate resilience, supporting cultural belonging, and speeding the pace of conservation. Part of SFCT’s mission is to ensure that the land and people flourish together. By expanding access to conservation, restoring land in the face of climate impacts, connecting people to nature, and protecting landscapes that define northern New Mexico, we are building a more equitable and resilient future—one in which the health, culture, and natural heritage of our region are shared by everyone.
