Putting a trail tread on the sensitive raised acequia bank has required substantial construction of retaining walls.

Seven volunteers joined the Trail Volunteer Coordinator to continue work on a re-route of the Dale Ball Trails above Junction 29, on land owned by The Nature Conservancy. The trail is now complete from the acequia crossing up, but we are still working on the arroyo crossing below the acequia, as well as several spots on the acequia bank that required shoring up. We should be able to finish these spots and complete the trail across the meadow to the “Green Gate” at Junction 29, on Upper Canyon Rd., on our next work day.
