On March 11, six trail volunteers joined the Trails Program Manager to re-connect the Piñon Ridge Trail to S. Ridgetop Rd., at the top, and Camino Francisca, at the bottom. Primarily consisting of pruning and defining a narrow, single-track tread, this work was the culmination of efforts in 2019 with Las Estrellas Subdivision and various local residents to scope out and flag desirable routes to re-connect this “orphaned” public, neighborhood trail, which can be linked to La Tierra Trails and other city trails via S. Ridgetop Rd. and to the Cañada Rincon Trail via Camino Francisca.
